Country Inn and Suites by Carlson Deer Valley Complaint - Front Desk RUDENESS
PHOENIX, ARIZONA -- I recently stayed at the Country Inn and Suites in Phoenix AZ. We arrived late in the night, and there was a party going on up in one of the rooms on the 4th floor. Our room was also on the 4th floor, next to the partyers. That isn't the real issue, but I think the guy at the desk had us mixed up with them.
What happened the next day...my boyfriend went to see if we could stay another night so we could bring the kids over and swim, etc. on Mother's day. Well, he has a new bank acct., that I'm not sure he really knows how it works (money transfers from one to another, etc. etc.) Anyway, his card was declined even though he has a bunch of money in the acct.
To make a long story short, the guy at the desk treated us like we were teens with a stolen credit card or something. He was totally RUDE right from the start. I told him I would just use my card, he told us No, we would need to vacate the room because he rented it to someone else (which was a lie....). When I went down to the desk to question this, he was even more rude when I asked him how he could have rented the room in the last 10 minutes, even though most of the hotel was empty. He told me to GET OUT, or he will call the police! I was dumbfounded, I couldn't believe what I was hearing! I said to him, "If this is how you are going to be...fine, I won't spend another dime here. And, by the way, the room we had (for $200 a night) was very noisy...humming in the walls from the AC unit or something" He interrupted me before I could finish and said, "YEAH....the noise was coming from YOUR room, I've seen the security report". I have no clue what he was talking about. I would think that if there was something on a security report, then the security people SHOULD have come to our room to complain or whatever, which did not occur.
I have written the company (RADDISON) about this and asked for someone to contact me.....so far, nothing. I guess they figure I'm just ONE person...who cares! It seems more and more American businesses are getting the 'I don't care attitude' these days.
So...I'm am looking for any and every outlet to get this message out. If anybody has any information to help me out, I'd appreciate it!!
