Midwest Kia Complaint - Dishonest Dealership Tricks

Review by Goldgirl on 2009-06-22
DES PLAINES, ILLINOIS -- This Dealer has done both of these tricks to my employee. They are very SHADY AND DISHONEST

Stay away from Midwest Kia!!! Midwest Kia will rip you off! You can't make a good deal with bad people.. They are a bunch of Drunks and Drug addicts!

They will do this to you!

Car Dealer Tricks to Watch For

Interest-Rate Bumping

You should always shop for your own financing before you head to the dealer. Maybe you’ll get a better rate; maybe you’ll just get a better idea of what rate you qualify for so you can police the finance manager. It is not uncommon for the dealer to secure financing for you at one APR but offer you a rate one percentage point higher—and then pocket the difference.

Midwest Kia loves to do this to people!

Altering the Bill of Sale

Never sign a bill of sale with blanks or terms that are “subject to bank approval” or have similar wording. Some dealerships will let a customer sign such a document and release the new car to its happy owner, only to call the buyer back a few days later to say that the loan fell through and they need to come back in to sign some new paperwork, which just happens to cost the buyer more than the negotiated price. Never drive your car off a lot until all the paperwork is filled out completely.

While the post is useful, calling them a bunch of drunks and dope addicts is uncalled for.

This post is another example of what so many consumers lack--common sense! I find nothing new in these complaints. A dealership will LET someone sign paperwork containing blanks? Who signs paperwork like this? Shouldn't everyone check for available financing before going off to spend big bucks? Now, if a person has had history by purchasing three or four autos from the same dealer with no problems, I suppose I can understand their not being so dilligent about reading the 'fine print,' but otherwise--they bring it on themselves.

Poni, hell of a sales angle, they get you stoned then have you sign anything put in front of you.

Yeah, you're right, superbowl. They could keep the ganga, but would sure get me if they were offering Belvedere. :)
