SmashBurger Informative - Not Your Ordinary Burger
COLORADO -- As most of us burger lovers with discriminating taste do, we try to stay away from the well known fast food chains and gravitate towards the small and up and coming burger joints or a local family owned place.
The local joints make decent burgers but the ones that I have gone to either make you wait for what seems like an eternity to fix the burger in between preparing fish dinners, Jerk Chicken and Beef Pate`s or the burger will be charred on the outside and practically raw in the middle. Not good.
"SmashBurger" is new out here so I figured that I would give them a try. The service was friendly and prompt (not to mention the cute twins that were taking the orders).
I had the 1/3 pound burger (well done) with fries and a strawberry shake. The burger and fries came first and while the burger was cooked to perfection, the fries were dry and reminded me of Burger King's putrid tasting fries. Then the shake came to the table in one of those metal containers that they use at the old fashioned soda joints. Pretty cool and this was a real shake made with REAL strawberries!
To sum it up, the burger and shake were good but the price of the meal was a little high in MY opinion ($11.00). I plan to go back and would recommend the place to a friend. My dining experience there had to be better than one having to argue over an order of fries, getting more mayo' than fish or eating a big steak in a tight seat.
