Hertz Complaint - Hertz Stole My money and won't return my funds
OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA -- On Friday June 19, 2009 I attempted to rent a vehicle from Hertz. According to the requirments to rent a vehicle, I qualified. When I went all the damn way to the Minneapolis International Airport to pick up the vehicle I was told that they had to perform a credit check which disqualified me from renting. That was fine because they can use whatever method they desire when allowing someone to use their vehicles.
The problem came about because Hertz refused to release the hold on my account, which prevented me from renting a vehicle from an alternative source. ON Monday they had the audacity to debit my account for an additional $50.00 which then caused me to be assessed an over draft fee. I am now on day 5 and I have been put on hold for over 2 hrs total plus I've spoken to 4 different dumb asses who have given me a bunch of BS and excuses and responses. The manager even had the nerve to say they were waiting for Equifax to verify that they advised the denial. I offered to fax her a copy of the equfax slip I received upon denial, furhtermore they had a copy of the Equifax report because I never mentioned Equifax. The bottom line is that they denied me service, so why should I have to wait until they do a BS investigation. After reading about similar experiences from Hertz, I can see that this is an established practice of their company. THEY HAVE DISCOVERED A WAY TO SCAM PEOPLE, THIS IS CALLED WHITE COLLAR CRIME. I was denied use of their services and it is costing me $$ every day that they hold onto my money. I am going to file a complaint w/ The MN Atty Gen. But this is a damn uneccessary drag. *The bogus actions demonstrated by some of the oldest and most prominent companies in The US are the main cause of the recession.
