Lowe's Complaint - We bought a LEMON and horrible customer service.
My wife and I recently purchased a GE electric stove from Lowes. The price was $20 less than Home Depot and they also had free delivery so we chose to go with them. When purchasing the stove we found out that delivery was NOT free. We had to pay $80 for delivery and in return we would get a $80 store credit when the stove was delivered. It bothered me that there was the hidden catch, but I still needed more material to finish remodeling our house, so I didn't stress over it. The stove was purchased on the 24th of May, but it wasn't delivered to our house until 2 weeks later.
The stove was delivered, but when we turned on the stove, the light would come on, but the electric burners would not get hot. We called Lowes the next day to return the lemon, and they rudely informed me that the stove had already passed the 7 day return period. I explained that although we purchased the item 2 weeks ago, we only received it the previous day. Long story short, they told us to call Lowes customer care center. We call and the guy asked me if I purchased the exteneded warranty package. I told him No. And he informed me that its out of their hands, and that I would need to contact GE directly.
I will never shop at Lowes again.
