Michael Toyota Complaint - A Bunch Of Liars And Cheaters

Review by pbui on 2009-06-25
We bought a brand new 2009 Sienna from their dealer. While we were driving, the front driver side glass door shattered for no reason. There was no throwing rock or any object striking the window at all. They wanted us to have it replaced by a private shop. They promised that if it was due to manufacturering defect, they would reimburse us for the cost of the repair. The technician told us that it could be due to a craze line in the the glass during shipment of the van. When we told the manager about what the technician told us, he just brushed it off and insisted that we had to have proof before he could repay us back.

How could anyone prove it when the glass completely shattered? I told him that it was ridiculous that they did not honor the waranty on the car. After all, we paid a lot more for a brand new car because there was a warranty. The manager started to raised his voice and asked us to leave. What a bad customer service! We won't buy another Toyota ever again. They are not reliable and do not have a decent customer service at all.

Pros: Very nice until they take their money; all phony promises
Cons: Lying, and cheating; very bad customer service

You should have had the technician put it in writing. However, the technician saying it COULD be from a craze line in the glass is really no prove at all.
It's meerly speculation.

Isn't glass covered under your auto insurance? In this state, there isn't even a deductible for glass.
