RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA -- Instead of 1 1/2 cups of wild rice in their box, there was exactly 1 cup of wild rice.

Boy, Talk about nit-picking! If you bring the box back to the supermarket I'm sure they will exchange it. If that doesn't work, call the rice company and they will send you a coupon. Packaging is done by machines, it probably was just an error.

Rice is usually sold by weight, not by cups. How did you measure the rice? Did you pack in tightly into a measuring cup. A loss packing might have yielded a cup and a half. Also, did you measure before you coocked the rice or after? A half a cup of uncooked rice will yield a cup of cooked rice. But the important thig is that the weight of the rice is equal to what was written on the package.
