United Airlines Complaint - United/Delta Delayed Luggage
Well I will never be on another United plane, EVER !!!!!! I had a bad experience last year when my family and I retuned from Cancum Mexico going thru Chicago. Flight was delayed so we missed out connection in Chicago and had to stay over night there with NO LUGGAGE.
So this year my son and a friend was going to Australia. We carried them to airport in Atlanta Ga. The guy at the curb side check-in asked my wife and well as both the passengers, what is your final destination? All three told him Syndey Australia. He also made sure he patted his pocket as he told my wife that " He would take care of their baggage ". Well as usual she tipped him for his service. ( What a joke there ) Some 29 hours later they arrive in Sydney and you guessed it NO LUGGAGE. They filled claim with United Airlines for 3 missing bags. They had to take a 2-3 hour bus trip to Canberra and was told they would be contacted reguarding baggage. Two days later one of the 3 bags arrived. Yeah that's my thoughts how can you send one and not all three. I started calling United baggage and of course all they will tell you is that bags are in LA - Duh !!!! Well let's get them on a dang plane to Sydney. You can NEVER talk to anyone on the phone anymore that you can understand. If you are calling in America and calling an American company inside the states, let's at least get people who can speak good English for our customer serivce. They don't have to be Americans but at least speak good English. The father of the other traveler was doing the same as I, calling and getting one story and I was getting another. They started out in Atlanta on Delta and switched to United in La and yeap, you guessed it. Both airlines are blameing the other. Our teenagers had to wear the same clothes for 5 1/2 days. They started their trip on Wednesday 24th and finally got their luggage Monday 29th. I just wish that Southwest airlines flew everywhere I need to go. I will NEVER fly United again EVER !!!!!!!!! I have not heard from the compensation claim I filed with United either, I think we need compensation for things they HAD to buy due to their SORRY service.
