Chevrolet Complaint - Not Standing Behind Their Product
No wonder GM is bankrupt. If you call customer service, you are on the phone with somebody in the Philippines, Manila to be exact. I called about a problem that occurred to my fiance's 2002 Impala. What is described in the recall notice she received is exactly what happened to her car. After an hour on the phone with somebody that has never owned a car in their life I was told that I had to take it to an authorized dealer but they would not pay to have it towed or even guarantee that they would cover any expense. What horrible customer service.
This was over a recall that warns of a possible fire under the hood, which is exactly what happened. Why pay another tow bill when I can just have it repaired where it is at substantially lower labor rates. I will NEVER buy another GM product.
