WOW Work Out World Complaint - WOW--Cheats & Scammers--
ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA -- I joined WOW in April of 2009 thinking I was getting a great deal, a gym membership for only $30 a month. Boy was I wrong. The first month or so was great, I loved working out, I felt great, the employees were all really nice. Then I wasn't a new member anymore and things changed. They hassled me to sign up for personal training, when I needed to talk to one of the employees they were conveniently never available, and I got scammed into signing the Rate Lock Guarantee(which basically means they charge you twice in June each year that your a member). I also asked them to start a pregnancy work out class so I would have something low impact that I could do when I got pregnant and they refused saying it wasn't cost effective so I suggested starting a "low impact" aerobics class instead and they weren't much interested in that either. They aren't very helpful, they're pushy, and they don't care much about your ideas or needs, just your money. So today I am going in to cancel my membership. A friend of mine cancelled hers about a month ago and said they kept sending her back and forth and she finally, after "putting her foot down" got the waiver she needed. She told me that to cancel you need to sign the waiver and it has to be signed by the manager as well and you have to pay a $100 buyout fee. And she said she has much enjoyed a W. O.W. free life! I'm looking forward to having this all behind me as well.
