Vantage Financial Securities Inc Complaint - Rip-Off Sweepstakes - Sweepstakes

Review by MALIK350 on 2009-07-01
TORONTO ONT -- I got this letter from Vantage Financial Securities claiming I won $125,000.00 Inside was a real check for $4875.00 In the letter I was told that it was to pay the taxes on the $125,000.00 I won but not to deposit the check until I call them. The letter came from toronto I did not remember entering any sweepstakes in toronto. So I checked the internet and found rip-off. Com and this site where I found out that this was a scam.

So if you get a letter from a company stating you won $125,000.00 And a real check enclosed for $4875.00 Rip it up. Because they go by more than one name but the amount is always the same.

I would deposit the check and not send them the payment for the taxes. This check will eventually be found to be counterfeit anyway.

It's not a "real" check; it may be "real" paper and ink, but it is not a "real" check.

Voted helpful.

It isn't a real check but a picture of a check on printer paper.
