Euro Auto Imports Complaint - These People Are Scammers

SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA -- I wanted to submit a report & complaint against a Dealership that I have recently been having problems with over the last few weeks. I would hope this information is useful to others and I hope it raises a RED flag to anyone that is looking to purchase a vehicle at Euro Auto Imports in San Jose off of San Carlos. Here is my story:

I purchased a vehicle from this business on June 12, 2009, for $11,995.00. I put $4,500.00 down, with the balance being financed through a lender. When the Lender contacted me to confirm the transaction, they reported that I put down only $2,500.00 on the car, I told them No, that I had put down the $4,500.00. They told me that I needed to take it up with the Dealer. When I went back to the dealer, I told them what the finance company had told me about my down payment. I asked them where the other $2,000.00 was, and they didn't answer me, but danced around the question and made excuses about where the money was. They made no sense! The explanation the manager, Mike, gave me was pretty much that if they told the finance company that I put down a higher amount that the finance company would not give them enough to cover the car. I had also spoke with another one of the reps who dealt with the financials for the dealership, and she had previously called me to tell me there were changes in the rates and that the contract needed to change to say I put down $2500. I asked her about the other $2000 again and she said it would still be “credited to my account”.

I then called the manager to tell him that I wanted to return the car and speak with the owner but he said I would have to come back to speak with him the following Monday. So I told him I would be back. Come Monday I went in and asked for the owner. Another lady who said the owner was at a doctor’s appointment and that she didn’t know when he would be back. So we asked her to call him to find out. She supposedly “got on the phone” and left him a voicemail telling him we were there. She said we could either come back or we could wait for him to get there. We told her we would wait. She then she went to the back of the building and we waited in the lobby. About 5 minutes later I see him walk from behind the building to the front of the office and come in! (He was in the back the whole time!) He sat down & the whole outcome of the conversation was pretty much that we didn’t have a logical explanation as to why we wanted to return the vehicle. We told him we would take it up with our attorney and take legal proceedings to solve the issue since he did not want to deal with it the easy way. The following day I contacted the finance company & spoke to the manager he said the contract they sent him was one that showed we put a down payment of $2500. He also said the financial representative from the dealership called him on the day I met with the owner and told him they needed to make a change on the contract because they didn’t realize that I put $4500 down on the car and not $2500. I told him I expected her to do that because she tried calling me to explain things to me cause she said she hasn’t gotten a chance to do that. I told him everything they have been telling us has been a lie & that we are not satisfied with the service were receiving from them.

Everything that this dealership has been saying has been scamming and I really regret purchasing a car from this company, and allowing the devious, dirty representatives to have my time!! Like I said before I hope this info is useful to others, and I advise everyone looking to purchase a vehicle no to go to Euro Auto Imports!!!!
