Kroger Compliment - Bundle Pricing
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS -- Trying to buy two pairs of socks led to researching the issue of bundle pricing - you know, 1 for $6, 3 for $15.00. I mistakenly thought that stores were required to sell for $5 ea if the bundle price was $5. Not so. Even if the "bundle" is not a physical bundle but individual items. Stores can charge anything they want for any item or group of items. Competition sets the price. All economics 101, I presume.
However, Kroger Stores (in Arkansas, at least) will honor the bundle price for individual items. Harvest Foods does not. If HF sells 10 for $10, but $1.56 ea, you will pay $1.56 ea for 9.
So thanks, Kroger Stores for honoring bundle prices.
