Sears Complaint - Sears Cannot Help? - Repair
BEACONSFIELD -- I called SEARS about a leak from the hose to the water dispenser of my refrigerator and mentioned that it was urgent since I had been cleaning water all day long. Some one (a contractor) showed up after 3 days and told me than the hose to the water dispenser was damaged. After confirming the problem I had mentioned on the phone, this person told me that he needed to order a piece and make an appointment to come back and fix the problem. I had not heard anything from SEARS for one week during which I stayed at home and kept cleaning the water. Then, I called to find out that my appointment was scheduled for the Monday of the following week. I told the person on the phone that this was an emergency situation and that I could not be at home the following week and that I needed an earlier appointment. She told me that the contractor would call me to make an earlier appointment; but I had not received any phone call. On the Monday of the following week, I called SEARS to find out that I had an appointment that particular day for which I told them already that I would not be at home. Also, I was disturbed that SEARS did not even call a night before to confirm the appointment.
So, my small leak became a major problem in my life; I called the customer service to get help. I found out that they do not care in what a difficult situation a customer might be; only thing they can do is to reschedule an appointment three days later when I can be at home whole day to wait for them. I was very disappointed and asked for my money back because I needed immediate assistance from a company with some sense for urgency and a passion for helping customers. SEARS told me that they do not give money back; so, I am stuck with SEARS now to solve my trivial problem that turned into a major obstacle in my life now.
If you know a way for me to get my money back, please let me know.
