Delta Airlines Complaint - Beware Of Airline Overcharges For Ticket Prices Booked Through Travel Agency
Booked roundtrip ticket online & paid with cc on line to priceline. Got to Delta to check in and was told they had my reservation but needed payment. As trip was for dying father, I had to get on that plane & give them my credit card to do it. They charged an additional $ 373.70 On top of the roundtrip ticket charge from Priceline of $ 468.90--When I returned, I had to call several times to priceline, many hours over a period of two weeks. Finally, a month ago I was told by Priceline I would get my full refund from Delta w/in 5-7 business days. Delta still has not refunded the overcharge for the ticket and when I called Delta today, I am told the 'auditor', 'carmen' is out today and no one else can give me any information or assist and they don't know when she will return but they will 'leave a note on her desk'.
Called Priceline back again today, got the run-around again, transferred again after holding with 1st rep-finally hung up. Have decided I will have to pursue complaint w/consumer affairs against both Priceline and Delta to get the overcharged ticket refunded. What a mess & extremely frustrating and time consuming--will never use priceline.com again and will not trust Delta with my credit card!!!
