Carnival Cruise Line Complaint - Fright of my life
On about June 18th of this year I got into an elevator and intended to descend from deck 9 to deck 7. At about deck 8 there was a loud "bang" and the car dropped a half a deck or so. This was repeated three or four times. The "open door" button was ineffective and no one answered the emergency telephone. The last push of the door button opened the door and I jumped out on the 4th deck. I reported it to the guest services people so that no one ended up with a heart attack, like I almost did.
The next day I received a form letter saying, in effect, "Sorry Bout Dat!"
I don't expect a free cruise from Carnival but I think they should be more attentive and concerned about frightened guests. A personal contact by a ships officer would have been appreciated.
Try as I might, I could not find a site where I could contact them directly.
