Calvary Cars and Service Company Inc. Compliment - Honest folks - Purchase of a used vehicle
NORFOLK, VIRGINIA -- Lets get the disclaimer out of the way right off the bat. I am in no way affiliated with Calvary Cars and anyone who works at calvary Cars apart fromthe fact that I bought a truck from them. They are not paying me in any way to say this stuff.
After a very bad experience with Greenbrier Volkswagen on negotiation for the purchase of a truck I went to Calvary Cars. They happened to have a truck that was to my liking so I engaged once more in the negotiation process. If you read my other review (Greenbrier Volkswagen), you know that the issue that urked me at GV was a processing fee which we agreed would not be part of the deal but which found its way in near the end of the process. (They were hoping I would not notice that the deal got worse by $450.00)
I asked the Calvary Cars salesman up front if there was a processing fee. He candidly told me that they do charge a fee of $295.00. I thanked him for his honesty and we continued.
We finally sealed the deal and I left happily with my 05 Colorado. The sales manager carefully explained to me that the truck was 100% covered by a warranty of the drive train for 30 days. After driving the truck for a day or so, I realized that there was a problem in the front brakes. Even though the brakes were not covered under the warranty provided by Calvary Cars, I mentioned the brake problem to the Sales manager, Mr. Steve McDonald. He told me to bring the truck back so he could repair the brakes free of charge. I responded that I was well aware that this repair was not covered by the warranty. Steve said, "I am not going to put you in an unsafe truck." I took the truck in yesterday morning. It is ready today having had new rotors and pads installed.
