Hotels-Rates.com Complaint - Horrible Customer Service
Resolution Update on 07/15/2009:
I filed a complaint with the BBB. Three days later I received an apology from the company and a refund.
SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI -- I booked a room through this company. When I got to the hotel (Comfort Inn), they had over-booked and wanted to move me to another hotel. It was 10pm, I had a tired, hungry child and we just wanted rest. We ended up missing the dining room and room service hours at our new hotel. Needless to say it was a hassle. However, the Comfort Inn people were nice and offered to pay for the new hotel room, so I was cool. They told me they would not charge Hotels-rates.com for this room. Well, Hotels-rates.com didn't care and would NOT refund my money. Their response was, "you got a room, didn't you?". I say what about my inconvenience? Seems this company wants to step in between a hotel trying to accommodate/make right with customers who get less than good service. I applaud the Comfort Inn people for trying to do the right thing, but Hotels-Rates.com just wants to make money and is all too willing to take advantage of any and every situation take your money.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GREEDY COMPANY!
