Mike Molstead Motors Informative - Extra 30+% add to parts

Review by buick guy on 2009-07-09
CHARLES CITY, IOWA -- I called around to 4 other Chevy dealers to get prices for the oil cooler lines for my wifes 2000 Chevy S-10. The four other dealers prices were all within $10 of each other. The prices they quoted me were all right around list price!

When I called Mike Molstead Motors the price they quoted my were list plus 35%. And to think this is the dealership where she bought the truck. When I asked them about it all they said was that was the price the computer gave them. And said the price I was given as list must have been wholesale!

Dealerships always mark up parts and have ridiculously high labor rates. Not like I know squat about cars, but I know about shopping. Good job doing your homework and warning others.
