AutoPartsGiant.com Complaint - Please Take Warning, Autopartsgiant.com Are Crooks
My tale of woe and hours of time wasted because of autopartsgiant.com's shoddy and if not illegal practices are similar to the rest of the complaints posted. Back in January 2009 I ordered, on line, a brake caliper for my car. Immediately received an order confirmation and my credit card was charged for the item, which at this point was not even shipped. I was and still am under the impression that a merchant can not charge your credit card until the product is actually shipped. Everyone I have dealt with follows this procedure. About a 4 or 5 days later I emailed autopartsgiant asking for the tracking number of my part. That's when my saga began. It took another 3+ weeks of emails, calls, waiting on hold for up to 40 minutes, listening to excuses and outright lies, etc. I was told several times it had been shipped. I was told several times it would be shipped. I was always told to call back the next day for the tracking number. I'm sure that every time I called and waited, many others were doing the same thing. These crooks were probably laughing at the havoc, delays and other problems they caused the unfortunates that trusted them. After about a month I received an email stating they did not have the item and would credit my card back the charges they improperly levied in the first place. That was it.
My hope here is that at least one person check these cretins out before dealing with them and are saved from the miserable treatment and lies that all of their victims have received. And, hopefully they will go out of business. Please avoid autopartsgiant.com like the plague. I should have posted this review this months ago.
