Budget Rent-A-Car Complaint - No service
MIAMI, FLORIDA -- We rented a car at Miami Airport. The car's alarm kept going off every time we would unlock it. We called several times and could never get a human on the phone. We left 2 messages w/ our number to call us back and no one ever did. We called road side assistance and they said to return it. So we spent our time on vacation driving back to the airport to return the car. The first thing the lady at the counter said was "you will have to pay 7.50/gal for gas you used", nothing of "I'm so sorry for your trouble". She was very rude and unkind as if this was our problem, not theirs. My husband said he was not going to pay for that with all the trouble we have had and no one would answer the phone. She got the manager on duty who finally consented to let us have another car and not have to pay the gas we had used in one day.
All we wanted was a car that didn't blow the alarm every time we opened it! and we sure did not want to spend our time driving in traffic back to the airport to exchange it. Some customer service and kindness would be appreciated.
We received the same exact kind of car as a replacement, this time with a remote key (which was missing from the previous car) and had no problems with the alarm this time.
