Hewlett-Packard Company Complaint - HP EXTENDED WARRANTY FRAUD
I purchased an HP Computer/Monitor from the local Staples store here in
Stillwater on 8/3/06. I received an e-mail from HP just prior to the end of
the original warranty which was included with the purchase.
On 8/3/07 I purchased for $199.99 a 3 YEAR EXTENDED IN HOME WARRANTY. This EXTENDED WARRANTY would run through 8/3/2010.
Your customer service personnel have advised me that I had really bought a
2-year warranty since the year 3went back to the original purchase date of
HP HAS TOTALLY MISREPRESENTED THE WARRANTY I PURCHASED...NO WHERE IN THE ON-LINE WEB SITE OR ANY OF THE MATERIALS MAILED TO ME WITH THE EXTENDED WARRANTY SAID IT WENT BACK TO THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE DATE. A CLEAR CASE OF
I have requested a refund of my $199.99 since HP has failed to even honor
the contract. I will be contacted a number of on-site chat rooms with a
copy of this memo advising of HP fraud. You have now lost a good customer
who normally purchases a new computer every 3 years. The next one will NOT be an HP.
