Orbitz Complaint - Oops - airline ticket
RHODE ISLAND -- I recently bought a pair of round trip tickets to costa rica. I purchased the tickets online with a credit card and no hassle. days later I checked my bank account to see that nearly $900 was missing. apparently Orbitz decided to charge me again for the tickets 4 days later. the call center representative reassured me that there would "be an investigation and they would email me within 5 days with their findings." meanwhile the charge knocked my checking account well into the negatives so that I had $700 of debt. I demanded a manager to resolve the situation that day. in the end the charge was waved and alls it costed me was a day of frustration and overcharge fees from my bank which Orbitz refused to take responsibility for. if you ever book with Orbitz strap yourself in for a ride of aggravation.
