National Builder Supply Complaint - Bait and Switch On Availability

Searched the web for this product and finally placed an order with this company online at 1130 sta. nite based on 2 things (price and the website claiming in stock status). At 3AM Sunday morning got back an automated e-mail telling me that

You recently ordered these items from NationalBuilderSupply.com:(********)

* 1 Grohe Talia 12" Tub Spout 13617000 StarLight Chrome



As we were preparing to ship your order we noticed that the following items were not in stock:

* 1 Grohe Talia 12" Tub Spout 13617000 StarLight Chrome


I find it hard to believe that my order was "being packed" at that time of the night. I found another vendor and ordered the product. I canceled this order and then told the CS Rep that I would like to advise her on the reason for cancellation at which point she hung up on me.

You order could very well have been "being packed" at that time of the night. You would be amazed at how automated some distribution centers have become.

This is not bait and switch. It'd be considered that if you ordered one thing and they sent you another item at a higher cost. This is simply a matter of an item not being in stock.
