Whirlpool - Frustrated with the service and repair

DUNLAP, ILLINOIS -- WE moved into our new house in october with everything brand new. The stove was nice and with all the other things occupying us we didn't get time to use our oven till sometime in dec when we realized that it doesnot work. We went for a month long vacation out of USA and came back and launched the complaint. The technician came and said that he would order some parts and be back he came back in few weeks and put the parts and said that its working. A week or so later we again prepared out stuff to be baked only to realize that the oven is not working. I called and made the comaplint again not immediately BECOZ we have an infant at home we are both working it takes lot of effort on our part to be doing things out of our routine scheduled life. WE called though and the technician came again and confirmed that its not working. He made almost 3-4 visits to fix this up and we have been talking to Hamptons to request for replacment since we have been very dissatisfied with the product. Hamptons informed me that Whirlpool won't change the product since there are only 2 service complaints showing on their computer... Whereas the fact is that the technician has been to my place more than 2 times infact more than 5 times!!!!!(I have to make speacial arrangements so that he can be there ) and the bottom line is that this range is not working properly since we bought it!!!!!today May 26th 2004 he came this morning and did something again and says that its working. I am not sure how true that would be. My problem is that everytime in last 6-7 months we tried to use the oven it has NEVER worked!!! I have called Hamptons several times to ask for a replacement and I have called STATS to ask for a replacment. When you sell your products, your agents rave about your customer service and guarantee on customer satisfaction. Which is so untrue coz all we have faced so far is FRUSTRATION..... Yet the answer from Hamptons and STATS is that Whirlpool won't change the product. WE don't have time to make zillion calls to different agencies. Whirlpool is not responding to an unsatisfied customer. STATS is lying about number of visits for the repair.Is there a way for the customers to get theeir money back instead of just going thru the agony.
