LINGO Complaint - They charge at their will
I am Lingo customer from Sep 2008. When I signed up the terms and conditions I received is 12 month contract with 59.95 termination fee. I signed up for 29.95/month plan and changed to 19.95/month plan, which has unlimited calling to UK. I paid extra $10.00 for this switch. Until here I was in good shape, now my troubles started.
They are continuing to charge 29.95/month and they charged and billing me 29center/minute(more than $30.00) to U. K which is supposed to be free with my new plan.
I called them several times to compain about this and this and they refused to give any refund for U. K. calls, after long argument they offered me $10.00 credit, but they don't have a reason why they can't give full refund.
Then I get a e-mail stating that I should be in 2 years contract with 99.95 termination fee. I replied to that e-mail and I don't agree the new terms. They replied back to me that is for new customers not for existing customers.
I cancelled my service before one year and willing to pay 59.95 cancellation fee to take advantage of OOMA $0.00/month plan.
After I cancelled they send me bill with cancellation fee of $99.95. I called them again they asked me if I have any proof to show that I was supposed to pay only $59.95 not $99.95. I saved my previous mail and I send that mail to them. Then they agreed for 59.95 and they send me a bill again for 99.95.
I still did't paid that and gave them e-mail, if I don't receive correct bill by end of June I am not responsible for paying anything.
As of today 07/13/2009, I did't receive corrected bill, so I am not paying anything to them.
