Tixx.com Complaint - Don't order Tickets at Tixx.com

On Monday 6/15/09, I ordered, online through Tixx.com, tickets for an event on 7/17/09 at Citi Field Stadium, New York. On receipt of my ticket confirmation to my email, I saw my address was wrong and I called Tixx.com immediately to have the address corrected. The person who I spoke with identified himself as Thomas. He said he would take care of it immediately. I received another confirmation and I saw my address was still wrong. I called again, and he said in a very rude way, that I made the mistake. I live in Sarasota, Florida 34231 and my confirmation said Road, Alabama 34231. Thomas then told me that the tickets would be mailed out in a few days. As of July 8th, I still did not have my tickets, so I called Thomas. (Tickets were ordered on June 15th) He said that they would be mailed out that day and I would receive a confirmation with a FedEx tracking number. I waited 24 hours and still no confirmation with a tracking number for FedEx. I became very concerned. I called Thomas again, and he was very rude and said he would send the confirmation with FedEx tracking number. I finally received the tracking number. The next day, I went to FedEx online, put in the number and the tickets had not been sent. I called FedEx and they said, that the label had been printed, but the package had not been dropped off nor was a request put in for it to be picked up. I was really concerned not trusting this person Thomas and feeling that I had been scammed of my money on the internet.
I was not at all confident that I was going to receive the tickets. I already had made travel plans and wanted to be sure that I could get new tickets prior to the event being be sold out. My vacation is built around the event that I purchased these tickets for.
On the morning of July 10th, I tried reaching Thomas several times. I purchased new tickets at about 1:30 PM directly from Citi Field. I finally reached Thomas at about 2:00 PM on July 10th. I asked why he did not send out the FedEx with my tickets and he was really rude again, and started to give me another FedEx confirmation number. Having already purchased new tickets, which by the way, I already received before reaching Thomas, I told him that I did not trust him or the tickets that he was sending.

I suggest disputing the charges from Tixx with your credit card company. I'm glad you were able to save your trip.

Tixx.com are resellers (aka scalpers). I'm betting dollars to donuts that Thomas didn't have the tickets from the person who actually had bought them to sell. He was probably either waiting for them to land in his lap, or working with the actual ticket owner to ship the tickets.
