Air France cheated me out of $400.
Below is the text of a letter I sent to Air France, explaining the nature of my complaint. They responded with a flat 'No' and have no escalation path that I can find. I urge you to consider carefully the character of people you are dealing with when you purchase tickets from Air France. It is not what you would like it to be.

Dear Air France,
Recently, my traveling companion and I returned from Prague to San Francisco with a connection in Paris on Air France. While in Prague, we paid $200 per person to change our return flight from March 14 to March 13. Unfortunately, your partner airline OK Czech Airlines delayed us out of Prague because they were waiting for an inbound plane full of passengers from Cairo, Egypt. This delay caused us to miss our connection.
This missed connection caused an entire day delay on the return as all the remaining outbound flights to the US were full when we finally arrived in Paris. Consequently, we returned on the flight as originally planned on March 14. I am requesting a refund of the $200 per ticket that we paid for the change. This was the fault of your partner airline, and therefore the responsibility of Air France, and caused us to lose all benefit of the total $400 we paid to depart on the 13th.
Copies of the ticket and the receipts for the change fee are enclosed. Please let me know when this is refunded.
