Target Complaint - Won't allow returns of THEIR brand defective merchandise!!
DUBLIN, OHIO -- I bought my son a pair of $14.99 casual flip flops with the plaid straps that go between the toe on June 6 - he wore them on our cruise June 8-9 and hurt his feet so bad he didn't wear them anymore - until he tried again a week ago, he wore them 2 more times. I discovered yesterday that the sole is coming apart and the fabric that is under the feet while wearing - on one side it's totally lifted off. This kid walks normally, didn't go through water, and wore these 4-5 times and they look like they've been through a war! My receipt says a 90 day return policy....so I take them back to customer service yesterday in Dublin OH and the little 18 year old "manager" comes over and tells me I can't return them. I said to her that I'm not expecting them to resell them, I would like a store credit and for her to mark them "defective" - duh, as a quality control measure.... apparently TARGET doesn't know what this means as all their own brand of clothing/shoes is basically trash. Sure it cost them as a company a whopping 0.50 to make those flip flops in some Honduran sweatshop. Telling me that I can't get a credit for defective merchandise is unacceptable. I spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars a year at Target, and am going to facebook now how much I think their brand named items STINK and get the ball rolling on turning all my other mom friends against 'em.....
If you haven't had a negative experience returning something here....give it time, you will.
