Planet Fitness Clifton Park Ny Complaint - Anticonsumer Mentality

Review by maincom mackey on 2009-07-15
CLIFTON PARK, NEW YORK -- I was terminated from Planet Fitness because I asked for a suggestion box to suggest the loud music be turned off in favor of espn on the television, something for everybody. The person behind the desk leaned forward and told me I was "rude" and "had a lot of nerve" to come up to the desk with that suggestion. Then proceeded to tell me not to return my membership was cancelled. I would not want to be a member of such an organization that treats its clients like that anyway. The next day the manager told me he was "standing by" the attendant and I would not get a refund either. Still intend to go to court on the matter. Cannot believe such a type of Health Club as that can stay in business.

Very unprofessional. In my nearly 30 years going to health clubs I have never encountered such rude and unprofessional behavior by an employee. Stay away from this place, they are bad news.

I like some sports but would not be the least bit interested in having ESPN on the television. I consider it to be a sports network, not something for everybody. Terminating you for suggesting it is ridiculous.

Your membership was terminated because you asked for a suggestion box? Something doesn't sound right...but if what you are saying is true, small claims court (if its worth it) doesn't sound out of the question.

"I was terminated "
"not to return my membership was cancelled."

were you employeed by them? or were you a client?

either way, if you were a client, they have the 100% right to terminate your contract at any time for any reason. if you were an employee, there is something missing in this story.
