Royal Caribbean Complaint - Royal Caribbean Theft---No Response
I, along with my family of 12, took the RC cruise to the Mexican Riviera this past June. We were on board the Mariner of the Seas from June 21-27. While on board, we were encouraged (and often times coerced) into ship activities that usually involved giving them money in one way or another (but that's really a separate complaint.
All in all, on the last evening of the cruise, we were told (by the Ship Captain) that in order to do "Express Checkout" (which is supposedly nice because you don't have to wait) you MUST have all bags packed in your stateroom the evening before, and ready to walk off the ship at 7am the following morning. Not in a mood to wait to exit the ship, I obviously obliged. The next day, after I had arrived home in Northern CA, I had noticed that my checkbook and a bottle of expensive (and new) cologne were missing. My dad "coincidentally" also had a bottle of new cologne missing from his bag.
When we reported this to RC, they basically told us they'd look into it. They called back 3 days later and said they "asked the crew, and they denied knowing anything about it". Now, I'm no rocket scientist, but does anyone really believe a pot-smoking Jamaican would fess up to stealing, risking being sent back to Kingston to make $10/day selling braids in yo hair, mon? Come on!!!
So, all in all RC has decided to tell me I must've lost my own stuff, and they will do nothing else to resolve my problem. They have lost me, my family and anyone I know as a potential customer for life. I STRONGLY encourage you to avoid this shady company in future travels. They love you while your checkbook is open, and that's about it! While reading into www.my3cents.com, I can see that my complaint is one of many. Don't cruise Royal Caribbean!
