Carnival Cruise Line Complaint - Ripoff
We booked a cruise for Dec 2009 in celebration of our 30th wedding anniversary - we checked into the cruise and one of the planners talked us into a "book early, save money" deal. My children and their respective others were to join us so one of them made reservations as well. It turned out that my daughter (who was told she could not get pregnant) turned up pregnant. We asked Carnival to change the names on the cabin (no refund, etc) - they refused. We asked if the new baby could go, but lo and behold they changed those rules - no longer 4 mos now 6 - the baby will be 5 months old. Nothing they can do except issue a credit after losing $100 each. I find the customer service deplorable and the only reason we will go on this cruise is because we too have a non-refundable deposit we can't afford to lose.
I will be sure to say negative things about Carnival the entire time we are on the cruise and I will never sail Carnival or its affiliates again.
