Delta Airlines Complaint - Day from hell - airline
Our initial flight out of Cleveland was delayed by an hour and a half due to mechanical problems. This made our connecting flight impossible to catch. We were told by the check-in agent in Cleveland that we would be put on a later flight out of Atlanta. Keep in mind we are traveling with my 6 year old son who is autistic. When we went to check in (after a 4 hour wait in Atlanta) we were told we were 19th in line on a fully booked flight. We decided to cut our losses and stay in Atlanta overnite. We went to get our luggage because my son's medicine was in it. We were told it was being pulled. After two hours of waiting by the carousel I had to stand back in line to ask what the deal was. I was then told that "oops" they are on their way to Wilmington. When I called Delta that night to be reimbursed for our hotel room, I was told that we could have a 150 dollar voucher for future travel and that was all. So I was out 200 bucks for a night in a hotel and all the sundries we had to buy since we came empty handed. The "delta bucks" are pointless since I would NEVER travel on Delta again. You shouldn't either.
