Dean Arbour Ford Complaint - Ripped Off - 1999 Ford Expedition ABS Braking System

Review by RustingAway on 2009-07-20
My ABS light came on just after having replaced new Front Rotors and Pads, I took the vehicle to the dealership the service manager told me it was the front Speed Sensors that needed to be replaced because they were sending mixed signals I called to check on the price and was told by the same dealership Service Department I could replace the speed sensors for a cost of $16.00 each. I was told by the Service Manager you cannot replace just the Sensors you must purchase and have installed both Front Hub Assemblies which they did for $991.00. The Hub Assembles were not worn nor did the vehicle have any front noise. The Rear Sensors were never removed or checked. The ABS light is still on we took the vehicle back and was told its the Sending Unit and they wanted $760 more to replace. When we objected to the additional cost, it was suggested maybe it was time we purchased a new Ford. I worked for Ford Motor Co. for 35 years before retiring and this kind of remark I didn't need to hear
