Banks Complaint - Bill us to kill us - Bank loan payments

Review by CVT on 2009-07-21
ALL, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA -- It is criminally insane the banks charge a fee for people to pay by phone or online. This is of course the state of this country where greed has bankrupted all. It is a moral crisis and not a financial crisis. banks, insurance and really all big businesses are run by narsissistic sociopaths, seen the news lately. It will not get better, think France in the 1700's The insane think they are ok. Don't you love them as much as they love themselves? Huh.

All you have to do is make the payment from your own bank's web site. It's easy, convenient and *free*.

Of course, if you wait until 10 pm on the day your payment is due, expect to pay for it.

Okay I'll bite. What era of the 1700's in France do you refer to? Before or after their revolution?

Or you could just use the postal service. Granted, you'll want to send your payment off with plenty of time for it to make it there.
Or, if at all possible, go to that bank personally, and make the payment. If that option is there. Depending on what kind of loan you may or may not be able to do that.
Two options that require no fees.

1700s?
Sounds like the letter-writer is suggesting we revolt...

which is pretty lame, you don't have to pick up a weapon to voice your opinion about a bank. In fact... doing so will land your buttocks in a prison.

But hey, that'll teach the banks a lesson right? (rolls eyes)

Simply stop using banks, credit cards, and online purchasing. Pay in person and in cash for everything if you don't like the fees.

Greed and a moral crisis? I don't know if I would call it a moral crisis. Greed on playing games with someone's deposits in order to justify additional service charges I will agree with, although you didn't mention that. We are encouraged to take advantage of the benefits of the newest options. At one time no one paid by phone or online, they paid in person or with the aid of a postage stamp. Give either a try. Both still work.

Sociopaths, banks that have no conscience? Hmmmm, yep, that about covers them. Bank with a local credit union, they have a conscience and like having you as a customer too.

Charging you to pay ONLINE?! Absolutely ridiculous. Which bank is this?
Posted by Slimjim on 2009-07-21:
My bank doesn't charge me to pay online. Which bank is that you all ask? *drull roll* Bank of America, of course! (room gasps)
BTW, what bank or anybody doesn't charge to take a pay by phone. That's always been a given.

Slimjim +1. One of the banks I use is BOA, and true they don't charge you to pay bills online (as I do).
Posted by Anonymous on 2009-07-21:
It's all banks, SC, at least the ones with credit card programs

Let me clarify, if you call BoA to pay your bill electronically, they will charge you something like $15 to do so. They don't charge for paying bills out of your BoA account.
