Motel 6 Complaint - NO Refund when hooker breaks in the room next door!
WEST SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA -- Where do I start....
We were in Sacramento visiting some friends and decided not to drive the 3.5 hours home one Saturday evening. We had our dog with us so that typically limits your options but we know that Motel 6 always allows dogs... so we go to the West Sacramento, CA Motel 6. Well at 2:30am I receive a knocking on my door from a woman asking me if she can break in next door and if I would be cool with her doing such.. well from risk management perspective they always say if no one is getting hurt and you don't have to know what you are confronting (some cracked out hooker, in this case) don't argue or fight with them. So I just state, "nope". Hoping that she will just go away but minutes later I hear her throw a rock through the window next door and she starts to invite Johns (prospective customers) into the hotel room. So I call the front desk and explain to them what happened and tell them that I will be checking out immediately and would like a refund. So the next day I email Motel 6 and explain to them my experience and ask for a refund well they don't address the refund at all and send a "canned" apology to me. Therefore I call the West Sacramento, CA Motel 6 and tell them that I still have not received the refund and would like to talk to the manager and everytime the same response, "the manager just stepped out, can I take a message and have him call you back?"... which he hasn't called me back to this day. So again I write Motel 6 corporate headquarters and demand that I receive a refund, they finally send me another letter stating that they can not and will issue a refund. Therefore I will never stay at another Motel 6 and strongly urge others not to as well, they have no customer services or respect for their customers.
