Cingular Wireless Complaint - It appears Cingular engages in Fraud
FULLERTON, CALIFORNIA -- Read your brochure ... its fake !!
I'm told the brochure doesn't apply to my area. But funny that the map shown on the brochure covers my area. And I picked up the brochure in my own town.
Be careful; your Rollover time may or may not be counted depending on the whim of Cingular.
What this company gives to consumers (In Print) and how they conduct business are deceptive and fraud.
2ndly: Cingular hides behind a PO Box and NO phone number to resolve an issue. Their customer service has NO authority to resolve an issue. It can only do what is on their PC screen. So if there is a operator input error or a computer error, they have no way to fix it.
Further: Cingular gives NO email address to the consumer. It hides from the public.
Quote from their brochure:
"""Any credit remaining in your account after the expiration date stated on your prepaid card can be saved IF you refill your account within 14 days following expiration."""
Cingulars says that above advertisement is false.
Isn't that copout; a quick way to rip off thousands of consumer adding into millions of dollars rip off.
I bought a 90 day card. The expiration day therefor is 90 days from the purchase date. Add 14 days grace period to renew to save any credit outstanding, or unused minutes.
Cingular has done just that for the past year; it adhered to their advertisement, until now out of the blue --- Cingular Customer Service says their brochure is wrong & never existed --- Oh yes, lets not forget, the brochure shows a picture of my area, but all of of a sudden their map given is wrong.
I wonder how many people followed the contract but find themself now being ripped off.
To condone dishonesty, breeds dishonesty!
