Thomasville Walnut Hardwood Floor Informative - How To Clean - Walnut Hardwood Floor

Review by new kitchen on 2009-07-22
We just installed the Thomasville walnut wood floor in our kitchen and immediately knew we would have a problem keeping it clean. We have a dog and 3 kids and it shows everything!!! We have been using the recommended cleaner Bruce hardwood floor cleaner and it doesn't work! It shows foot prints dog prints... It's horrible! But I think I figured it out... Just clean it with a mop and Murphys oil soap and run around on a towel to dry it. No more foot prints!!!! It still shows everything else but it's a little better.

It is gorgeous when clean and it does take more cleaning then other floors.

Hope this helps.

When I was in high school, I used to use Murphy's Oil soap for shampoo on my hair. I should start using it again. As I sat on the potty, I used to read bottle lables and whatever was around in the bathroom...one day I read the lable for Murphy's Oil soap and found it was all natural ingredients...nothing harmful or harsh...so, I used it on my hair and I had more compliments on the shine of my hair than I ever got before...it lathers great with just a tiny bit, rinses well and leaves your hair really smelling great! But, I didn't always answer the question of, "What kind of shampoo do you use"...LOL...What was I gonna say, "I wash my hair with wood cleaner" ???? LOL!

You'll die when I tell you this, but we used to use Mayo for hair conditioner..It did NOT smell nice, but worked beautifully if your hair was dry from the pool.

I've heard of people doing that...but I never did. I have used Vinegar to rinse my hair...it's good, but never, ever use it if you have a sunburn on the part in your hair! OUCH!
