Seattle Coffee District Complaint - Scammers... Seattle Coffee Direct

Review by rubydog on 2009-07-24
EVANSTON, ILLINOIS -- This company is one big scam. I ordered coffee from them (it is NOT good by the way) and chose to be sent coffee every 30 days. WELL....I have since been sent 9 shipments of coffee! They are a rip off. When I called customer service they told me that they do not accept returns. After I canceled my membership I still received two more shipments.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, they will rip you off!!!

So, what was the rip off?
You haven't mentioned any cost or things like that.

Auto shipment were probably in the terms of agreement and you failed to read them.

Most likely, according to other complaints about this company, the 9 shipments of coffee were sent with in one or two months (instead of 1 every month) and the company expects the OP to pay for all 9 shipments.

Just do what I do. When I run out of coffee, I go to the grocery store to replace it. Problem solved.

In certain states, there is a law that if a product that has not been contracted for has been shipped to you by a company with willful intent, the recipient is entitled to keep the product without having to pay, as it is legally considered a gift.

Since the contract is supposedly for one shipment each month, the OP is at most responsible for two shipments, provided that the state that he/she resides in has this regulation.
