SofaMart Complaint - Very Poor Quality! Buyer Beware!! Company Do Not Stand Behind Product!

We purchased a couch, chair and 1/2 and ottoman from Sofamart in October of 2008. In November 2008, we began to notice signs of wear on the furniture. At the end of November we contacted Sofamart since the backs of the couch and chair and 1/2 were sagging. After the Store Manager telling us that the warranty period ended after 1 WEEK, they agreed to send someone out to re-stuff the backs of the furniture.

We learned that on the store floor, they re-stuff the furniture frequently so it always looks brand new. Good trick for the store- bad for consumers who don't have furniture repair resources at our finger tips.

I wrote a letter to Furniture Row corporate headquarters about my displeasure and it went un-answered.

So, here I stand 10 months later, looking at this $2000 purchase that is aging like a 20 year old crappy hand me down.

We have subsequently bought furniture from Lazy Boy and have been delighted.

Moral of the story:

Don't cheap out. DON'T SHOP AT SOFAMART unless you have money to throw out the window! Rest assured you will be disappointed!! Sofamart doesn't stand behind their products! They re-stuff furniture after "wear" in the store so it always looks good.
