Sears Complaint - Unauthorized charge on my account put on by sears
Because of high interest I have not used my Sears chg and am paying off balance. as a matter of fact my card expired and I did not review it. this months statement came with a charge dated 6/29/09 with a description of PROTECTION AGREEMENT for $53.99 plus. 35 interest. I called immediately and after explaining everything was told I had to be transferred to the dept. that handles warrantys. I had already been on the phone listening to there commercials and was quite aggravated but was told there was nothing he could do. I got transferred and listened again to there messages. finaolly a woman came on I explained everything. she asked for account #, name, etc. pulled up account and said she had to do some research and would I hold on. I told her I never signed anything and this was put on my account without my authorization and I just wanted it removed; she said she did not see it on my account and she had to put me on hold to research it. she finally came back and said it was on my account and it would be removedl. I told her I also wanted credit for the 35 cents interest and she said that would come off when they removed the original amount of 53.99. I asked how this happened without any authorization from me and she said it was put on by a new agent in error. I really doubt that explanation and should of asked her if I didn't notice it would it have been removed. I was so frustrated after almost half an hour on the phone for something that was not my fault. I just want to warn people to make sure they check their bills because this could happen to them too.
