Target Complaint - Target inconvenienced me
GLEN ALLEN , VIRGINIA -- I bought a Nikon Coolpix S230 touch screen camera on July 26. It was the only one left in stock, but it was marked down because it was re-packaged. The sales girl told us that someone had bought it, and then returned it, and that it should work fine and everything should be in the box. When I got home I realized that the battery charger was not in the box. When I called Target the next day they said they had no more cameras of that model in stock and directed me to another location. After driving there, I was told that they could not do an exchange because the product was marked down. I told the girl at customer service to look at the box- it was labeled "re-packaged" not "missing something" and she said that she could only give me my money back and not do an exchange. I got on the Nikon website and the battery charger is $30 and is temporarily out of stock. I thought I had got a deal for buying the re-packaged clearance item. Walmart sells the camera for $30 less than the original cost at Target anyway. So I never got a deal- I was only inconvenienced by Target and I don't appreciate their rude customer service telling me they can't do anything for me except give me my money back. I should have gone to Walmart in the first place because they always make things right with their customers. What ever happened to the customer is always right???
