Wrigleys Double Mint Gum - New Flavor Complaint - Double Mint Gum - New Flavor - YUCK

Review by ScubaEric on 2009-07-28
I have enjoyed the old Double Mint flavor for a long time and find the new flavor terrible.

The gum itself is now grainy, the flavor too sharp, almost antiseptic in nature, It loses its flavor faster and gets harder to chew when it does.

Bring back the old flavor ASAP.

If you go to their website, they have an option for you to send feedback on their products. I told them I was not happy with the change in their Juciey Fruit Gum...and I got a really nice response back from them...at least we know they are willing to listen to the customers, don't know if it was a 'form' response or not but if they get enough of them, maybe they will make a change.

Last year, Wrigley was purchased by Mars (candy bar company). Being new owners, Mars is probably looking for ways to save money, so they are tampering with the ingredients to cut costs.

best advice is to stop chewing gum. it is bad on your fillings and dental work.

The current Doublemint is a waste of money... I absolutely hate it. It tastes like something out of a synthetic rubber laboratory. Not to mention that it now contains aspartame, the single most controversial food additive in the history of the human race. I've bought my last pack of Doublemint gum forever, unless they change it back & I emailed Wrigley's to tell them so. I've never heard a word from them. Even Coca-Cola finally dumped that awful "New Coke" stuff, but it took them WAY TOO LONG to figure out that they'd blown it.
