Continental Airlines Complaint - My flight left early!!!
I had a flight leaving out of New Orleans on July 20th. The flight was to leave at 11 A.M. I arrived at the airport and checked in at 10:20. I walked over to the gate at 10:45, the door was closed. I sat helplessly, locked out of the ramp, watching my flight leave early!
the idiots came out of the gate. I was irate that it'd left. they told me it took off at 11. it was 10:58 as he was saying it. I showed him the time. then he said that 11:00 is the time when the plane is in the air. what?? he
asked what I had been doing for the past 40 minutes since checking in (actually 25 minutes by human time- not Continental time) none of their damn business what I'd been doing. proof that they knew I was in airport but not on plane. paging me would have been that hard??? acted like they were doing me a favor to rebook a flight. seven hours later. missed connecting ferry to martha's vineyard. had to sleep in a hotel. $100 later...
called to complain. was told that they do not have to page me. they do not have to hold the plane. that, in fact, my seat is up for grabs if I'm not there within ten minutes of take off. WHAT?? has anyone else heard this rule?
i became upset on phone- woman in customer service hung up on me! I will never, ever fly continental. their rules are arbitrary and unfair.
