Northpoint Ford Complaint - Dealer would not honor signed sales contract
MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN -- During the "cash for clunkers" voucher session provided by the US governemnt I had a signed contract to purchase a new 2009 ford focus with trading in my 1986 GMC van as a clunker for $4500 on 07/xx/2009. 24 hours after the contract and sale were made I was to take deliver of my new car but the dealer required me to sign an addendum to the contract stating that if the US government did not give them the $4500 for my clunker that I would be responsible for that amount. They then physically restrained me from leaving the dealership because I would not sign the form, Milwaukee police district 4 were notified and will visit their dealership with me on 08/XX/09 so that I can identify all subjects who violated the law by not allowing me to leave. Amongst other violations they threatened to physically engage me to settle a "score", in other words assault me. Just a note here that I am physically handicapped, wow what a show of strength? At no time did I raise my voice, make a threat or touch anyone at the dealership. This is a bad place to go if you are a minority or are handicapped!
