Auto Parts Giant Informative - Beware - Auto Parts

I too, ordered from AutoPartsGiant.com and ran into similar things that most people did. After waiting a few days for my order to change status, I called and waited to talk to someone. After 20 minutes on hold, I finally talked with someone who said I could "upgrade" my order for an additional $15, otherwise it would take 8-10 days to process. I said that was OK, and he said he would call me the next day to let me know if the part was available (several other parts places said they couldn't get the same part). No callback, and no response to emails.

The only thing that got their attention was to file a dispute with PayPal (thank goodness I used PayPal rather than paying through them). I filed the dispute, and within an hour I got a refund and a response from them through PayPal.

I guess the moral of the story is: If you want to chance doing business with these guys, make sure you have an out. I will NEVER use them again, nor will I ever recommend them. I just wish I had searched for reviews on these guys. I don't know how they stay in business....My experience was the same as the vast majority of these reviews.

The only time I use a paypal interfact is when I donate money to my local pet shelter. Other than that, if I see that they only take money through PayPal, I tend to walk right on by. Just seems a bit fly by night not to be processing the payment yourself. I'm probably overreacting to the PayPal thing, but it just doesn't feel good.
