Chik Fil A Complaint - Not Careful Dispensing Diet Drinks

Review by MUDDY8954 on 2009-08-04
CULLMAN, ALABAMA -- I have on two occasions been given regular lemonade instead of diet. I am a diabetic.. Always tell them make sure it is diet.. I ordered a large diet lemonade at the Cullman, AL Chik Fil A.. I was told at the window it was indeed diet. After drinking much of it I got a headache and blacked out.. Sugar spike.. My sugar level was 452. Also, at Chik Fil A in Trussville, AL a older man went direct to the lemonade that was not diet and then told me when he gave it to me that it was indeed diet. I then told him I watched him get it out of the one on the right which was not labeled diet and he then admitted he gave me regular.. Never apologized...

This is a major thing with diabetics and cannot be stressed enough

That's kind of scary stuff. If at all possible, I suppose diabetics should really keep an eye on their drinks being poured. Thanks for the info!

People can be such jerks. He didn't care that he was risking your health. To be completely safe, maybe you not get lemonade from them again. It is possible they would put regular where the diet should go.

I would stop going to that location or stop getting drinks from there if you do go. It's too dangerous to risk your life over a drink.

Something is not right with this story..The OP stated that the first time they received regular instead of diet they drank "much of it" before a reaction. I am a diabetic and believe me, when you take the first sip of any drink that has sugar in it you know something is wrong. Its hard to see how this happened.
