Wal-Mart Complaint - Bring Back Walmart Fabric Departments
BLOOMINGTON, ILLINOIS -- I am furious that some Ding Bat executive decided to eliminate Walmart Fabric Departments. My area of Illinois has the biggest 4-H groups in the state. Every year hundreds of 4-H'ers sewed projects for the fairs. And in addition, being a rural area, many Walmart customers sewed for the home, for proms, for children and babies. Walmart had one of the best departments to find good affordable fabric and supplys for knitting and crocheting. Now, I have to go to specialty shops to find any of those items and they are much higher in price than I want to pay.
I think if Sam Walton were alive this stupid decision would not have been allowed. Walmart stores now seem to cater to men, with plenty of camping, hunting etc supplys for them, but not for the ladys. I no longer shop as much at Walmart. I am so disgusted with their higher managment. Why didn't they take into consideration the areas that Walmart serve? Rural areas certainly serve women that sew, knit and crochet. We are not New York City. Bring back our fabric departments.
