United Airlines Complaint - UAL=U are Always Late
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- I was on Flight UA1165 from Sea-Tac (Seattle) to Los Angeles (LAX) on Jun 8, 2004 which arrived late forcing me to catch flight UA1490 instead of flight UA1488, causing me to miss my partner to whom I was supposed to rondevous with and making me late to my arrived destination. While on Ted flight UA1490, we were fixing to taxi onto the tarmac when we had to go back to the airport at LAX, 9 LAPD patrol cars show, head stewardess Laurie Faulkner, Supervisor was there and the Captain and crew were scurrying about frantically putting unnecessary fear in passengers causing an extraordinary delay to later learn at 6:15PM on 6-8-2004 that a passenger in 1st Class had a Swiss Army knife that got past security at LAX airport! This customer was elderly, in first class, was taken off the plane and boy we were frigthtened until the Captain finally told us (while in flight) the circumstances of the long delay. Bad enough UA1165 was late forcing me onto another flight, but to have that altered flight UA1490 to have a passenger on board with a knife! Was more than I can bare, consequently I missed my engagement at Harrah's in Las Vegas, ruined my reunion with my partner and made the entire 4-day trip feel horrible and stressed. UAL, one customer was saying stands for U (you) are Always Late (UAL = United Air Lines); I feel it should be U (you) Are under a Lax system of consumer transportation. No way should I have been inconvenienced to that degree without some form of compensation or remuneration.
