Hartz Complaint - hartz almost killed my cat

Review by rideouts on 2004-06-14
NORTH CAROLINA -- I want to warn everyone who owns a cat - DO NOT buy the flea control made by HARTZ that you squeeze between their shoulderblades!!! It is very toxic and could kill your cat.
My calico almost died - we had to take her to the vet, and he told us that he had seen so many cases like ours - and that sometimes the cats did die.
We called Hartz a couple of times and they did not seem very concerned. I wish I could warn anyone who owns a cat to stay away from this stuff.
Hartz is supposed to care about pets but they sure don't care about what happens when their products hurt pets.
For more, see www.hartzvictims.org - I am not the only one!
Please please tell everyone you know to stay away from this Hartz product.

I Do LOVE cats and I believe you. I had a bad experience with a flea collar that made one cat sick!! CAN'T THEY MAKE SAFE FLEA CONTROL AND MARKET IT!?!?As long as they're profiting, they don't give a rip!!

Are you sure that you used the flea control properly? I have read of people not following the instructions and making their pets ill.

I can tell you this is true, I used to work at a pet store and this happened with that product all the time. I always told people not to buy it and why. We finally stopped selling it. Its a purple and silver 3-pack package, don't buy it!
